This work is in generally good overall condition. There are few minor and light traces of soiling along the edges. There are some restored lacerations along the lower edge. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

L'opera rappresenta - come racconta Lombardo stesso - il Presidente della Repubblica Giuseppe Saragat eletto in quel periodo. L'opera è stata eseguita nello studio di Jannis Kounellis in collaborazione con lo stesso artista di origine greca, Giorgio de’ Marchis e Christina Reed Lawrence, perché in quel periodo Sergio Lombardo stava cambiando studio e non aveva un posto dove dipingere.
