Condition
The ceramic is sound. A close inspection reveals some very minor shrinkage to some of the thickest pigment, notably in the yellow pigment of the lower right quadrant. There are two fine surface scratches running vertically from the left upper edge and a tiny indent to the right of the round window (as visible in the catalogue illustration) which appear to be original and inherent to the artistic process. Apart from some light time-staining, this work is in very good condition.
The catalogue illustration is fairly accurate overall although the reds are slightly deeper, more burgundy, in colour.
