Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is no evidence of retouching under UV light. Apart from some minor hairline craquelure and some light frame abrasion in the upper right corner, this work is in very good original condition.

“An entirely new series – one could almost say an unprecedented approach to painting itself – has begun […]. It is a work whose tempo is established, not by a single dominant image or by a juxtaposition of incongruities, but by the very extent of the pictorial field. The latter is almost devoid of any particularities in the naturalist sense: a light fluttering of lyrical colour covers the totality and prevents any specific reference to nature. It could be a snowstorm, a shower of petals, or a meteorological phenomenon: all considerations of space, of scale, of substance and representation are out of the question.
