  • A Greek Terracotta Figure of a Goddess, Boeotian
  • Terracotta
  • Height 6 1/2 in. 16.5 cm.
seated leaning back on a broad rectangular stool, and wearing a long embroidered dress decorated with zigzag lines, necklace with pomegranate pendant, and low polos with large volute in front, her applied tripartite coiffure falling onto the shoulders and the nape of the neck, the details painted in black and red.

Condition

Body reattached to chair. Fluoresces evenly under UV light, possibly because it has been covered with a clear lacquer.
