turned slightly to her right, her gentle face with parted lips and smooth brow, the centrally parted wavy hair falling in twin corkscrew curls over the ears, bound in ears of grain knotted in front, and surmounted by a crown composed of horns, sun-disk, and fragmentary plumes; on a 19th century marble socle.
Provenance
Scottish private collection, Ayrshire, said to have been found in Antioch in 1837 (according to the engraved inscription on the socle)

Condition
As shown, chips and abrasions overall with large loss to forehead and hair above proper left eye, visible in catalogue photo, top of crown fragmentary, back roughly worked.
