Description

  • Height 21 in. 53.3 cm.
his head turned slightly to his right, his face with broad centrally-divided beard, parted lips, aquiline nose, and furrowed brow, his upswept hair parted in the center, bound in a diadem, brushed back over the ears in deeply-drilled overlapping wavy locks, and falling over the nape of the neck, a himation draped over his left shoulder, the bust resting on a roughly carved sphere or globe.

Condition

As shown, thick layer of incrustation probably once covering most of front of bust mechanically removed and, in some areas, possibly removed with acid, shallow chip on tip of nose and one on top of proper right forelock.
