Description

  • Height 12 in. 30.5 cm.
turned to her right, her oval face with strong chin and finely arched brows, the wavy hair parted in the center and falling in two long spiral curls down the sides of the neck, and a broad plait falling over the nape of the neck.

Denys Sutton (1917-1991), London, acquired between 1957 and 1972
by descent to the present owner

Condition

As shown; the back of the head is very roughly worked and what appear to be ancient tool marks are visible; there is a short crack at the base of the neck on the proper left side.
