Condition
Condition Report by Simon Parkes (3/28/13):
This painting has an old lining. The paint layer is stable except for one small distortion in the upper right, which can be relaxed and corrected without interfering with the lining. The painting is quite dry and probably a little dirty. Slight staining is often visible with works from this period, and there is very slight texture of the canvas that interferes in the lower sky in the center and in the right in this painting. This issue can be mildly corrected if it is still visible after cleaning. However, I like the condition very much overall.
