A Blanc-de-Chine gu-shaped beaker vase 17th/18th Century

Description

moulded with archaistic motifs at the centre, mounted as a lamp

Condition

The vase is adapted as a lamp so the interior and the base are not inspected. There is a horizontal 2.5cm crack along the rim, possibly due to impact. The rim has minor fritting. There are short firing cracks across the surface of the vase, particularly along the relief decoration. There are other minor glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles and iron spots.
