Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the illustration fails to fully convey the sculptural relief and glossy enamel finish of the piece. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals extremely thin and stable firing cracks to the red pigment in places. There is a further very thin and stable crack running horizontally from the right edge, below the centre; and one shorter crack roughly 10cm. above. There is a small repaired chip to the white enamel above the slash, which fluoresces under ultraviolet light.
