Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces with light surfaces scratches, nicks and dings throughout consistent with age and gentle handling. The oak shows a rich tone throughout. The lacquered metal surfaces remain in good condition with some scattered small and minor losses. There are a few minute areas of overpainting to the lacquered frame adjacent to feet, which appear to be a previous restoration. The nine small screws used to affix the lacquered metal frame to the table base appear to have been replaced and present with evidence of later overpainting of the screw heads. The overpainting presents in slightly lighter in tone in comparison to the lacquered frame. With some light surface dirt to the recessed areas of the metal frame consistent with age and gentle use. Please note this piece is of considerable weight. Please contact the department or post sale services for assistance in the transport of this work.
