Condition
Overall in very good condition. The pile ranges from ½ inch to approximately 1/6 inch in a few scattered areas. The carpet with two concentrated areas of very minor re-piling due to moth damage along the middle portion of the right side and the center of one end of the carpet. With another small area of scattered minor moth damage to the reverse. The carpet with a few scattered areas of surface staining and light discolorations, the largest of which is a circular discoloration measuring 1 ½ feet in diameter to the lower right corner, consistent with age and use. With the original flat-woven finishes folded under to the reverse. The carpet presents with flexible handle and a dynamic color scheme of deep maroon and cream geometric motifs on a sage green ground. Distinguished by strong scale and a rhythmic asymmetric decorative pattern. When viewed in person, the carpet displays with slightly more saturated coloration and with deeper red tones to the maroon piling.
