Condition

Overall in good condition. When examined under blacklight there are two small areas of prior restoration, one very small area to the high point on one of the vertical foliate elements at the shoulder, and the other to one of high points on the upper rim. These two restorations were sensitively executed and are not visible without inspecting the vase with a blacklight. With a few minute surface imperfections to the glaze inherent in the making, and with light surface soiling to some of the recessed contours on the lower register of the vase. The underbase with four felt pads. A particularly attractive example of this iconic Teco model, displaying a particularly rich glaze with strong charcoaling accents throughout which meaningfully heighten the sculptural nature of the form.
