Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 3 or 4 very small and minor cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The leaded glass with considerable surface soiling to the recessed contours of the shade leading and natural folds of the glass. The top aperture of the shade with minor abrasion and patina losses from continued surface contact with the finial over time (not visible when the finial is installed), and with some small and minor surface abrasions and rubbing to the patina on the high points of the bronze “Spider” armature on the shade. The patinated bronze surfaces of the “Mushroom” base display a rich russet brown and green patina. The bronze surfaces show minimal surface wear and light rubbing consistent with age and gentle use, and with considerable surface soiling in the recessed contours of the base design. All three sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The period “Spider” finial displays a closely corresponding patina to the base and is assumingly original to the lamp. A beautiful example of the model displaying a particularly attractive glass selection with vigorously mottled glass. The glass displays a beautiful color transition from deep greens in the upper register to a pale opalescent blue/gray along the bottom border.
