Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 15 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of the iridized “Turtleback” tiles appear original and undisturbed, with no visible cracks or damage to the tiles. The tiles are beautifully iridized, imparting the Turtleback register with strong luminous hues when seen with both reflected and remitted light from within. The patinated bronze surfaces of the hardware display an exceptionally rich and vibrant russet brown patina. The bronze shows minimal surface wear consistent with gentle use. The three sockets all appear original and undisturbed. The accompanying patinated bronze hardware all appears to be period, including the heavy bronze link chain and ceiling plate with integral decorative hook. The hardware with expected surface wear, abrasions, rubbing to the patina, and minor traces of house paint along the top border of the ceiling plate. A strong example of this dynamic and desirable chandelier model, displaying a strong color gradation from green to yellow, and a particularly attractive and complementary band of Turtleback Tiles. Please note the correct total hanging height of this chandelier is 31 ¾ inches, including the chain and ceiling plate.
