Condition

Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass with a few minute particulate inclusions inherent in the making. The underside with an applied period Tiffany paper label as well as two later collection paper labels. The vase is exquisitely decorated and shows spectacular movement and variation around the full circumference. There is a great variety and range of color to the agate decoration, which is far more nuanced than appears in the catalogue illustration. The interior of the bowl shows a dramatic gradation of color due to casing, from a deep amber red on the bottom interior to hues of pale blue and chartreuse toward the upper rim. A highly artistic and rare example of Tiffany “Agate” glass.
