Condition

Overall in good condition. The inkstand appears to retain all the original elements of the design, including two removable inkwells. With two areas of the plating losses to each side of the plane adjacent to the inkwells, measuring 3 inches in length (likely the results of adhesive tape). With minor dents to the frame in this same area and adjacent to the inkwells. Please contact the department for photographs showing these areas of plating loss. With minor scattered surface scratches and some minor areas of discoloration and tarnish to the work. A minor area of rubbing and associated plating loss at the tail wing.
