the top with an inset gilt tooled brown leather writing surface, the frieze fitted with a long drawer, all sides decorated with vernis-martin panels painted with outdoor scenes and courtesans

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. The vernis Martin panels with the usual craquelure and fading to colors consistent with sun damages.
