the frieze decorated with jasperware médallions and flanked by floral garlands, the support with a male and female bust, surmounted by a later beige onyx top
Condition
Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places.
The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use. The onyx top is later, once the onyx top is removed one can notice holes for screws on the four corners implying that it was the base of a serving table with shelves or possibly the base of a vitrine cabinet. The gilt bronze chute shows a tarnished coloring which could be the result of a gold spray. The jasperware medallions are in good condition and not cracked.
