of bombé form, surmounted by a brèche d'Alep marble top and fitted with two drawers sans traverse

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. The marble with the usual minor chips to edges, scratches to surface consistent with age and use. Green oxidation points in few places. Uplifting to veneers to the proper righthand side of the commode. Some veneer losses and chips to edges of both drawers. The marble top, although old, may not be original to the commode as it does not fit properly within the corner bronze figural chutes.
