Condition

The throne has a large visible loss to gilding, now showing gesso and bare wood to some edges of frame, most notably to the front of the proper left side of backrest and proper left side of armrest. Movement to both armrests, as they would need to be reglued to backrest. Visible patches of restoration to gilding done in gold paint, visible age crack to structural construction of backrest and seat. There is a D-shaped crack, visible and unrestored to bottom left of backrest, and there is a similar but restored D-shaped crack to bottom of proper right side of backrest. Sides and front of chair have a chiparus leaf decoration between each leg, and one can notice some cracks and breaks to decoration. Pieces are present but will need to be reglued for strengthening.
