4 leaves, each 155mm. by 110mm., with three large initials (8-10 lines high) in blue heightened with white penwork or burnished gold on wide contrasting grounds with foliate infill, one smaller 5-line initial in same, 3 small initials (4- to 2-line) in liquid gold with ornate red penwork, borders of scrolling single-line penwork foliage, terminating in golden and coloured flowers and bulbous leaves, free-standing flower heads and bezants, the border on the first leaf enclosing two gold-winged angels emerging from gold and brown striped flower buds, paragraph marks in red and blue, rubrics in red, 19 lines in a late gothic bookhand, trimmed at top with slight clipping to borders, slight thumbing to edges of first leaf, else excellent
