Catalogue Note

The author of this work is erroneously identified by Ogilby, the translator and editor, as Albertus Montanus on the title page, and this is reflected on the spine label of this copy. According to Löwendahl this English edition contains some material not included in the original Dutch edition published in 1670.

This copy of this profusely illustrated work has good margins and is bound in what may be described as a "publisher's binding" (cf. sale in these rooms 9 May 2006, p.55, for very similar bindings).
