Catalogue Note

Luis Murillo (1872-1928) was a botanist and teacher who wrote several books on Mexican flora. This album comprises the original watercolour drawings for his Atlas botánico: para uso de los alumnos del 2 ano de las escuelas primarias superiores de la Républica Mexicana (Paris: Libreria de la Vda de Ch. Bouret, 1904) – the printed work contains the title and seventeen plates, so the present collection includes ten extra drawings not published.
