Overall in excellent condition. The favrile glass shade is in excellent condition, with a few very small and minor air bubble inclusions inherent in the making. The top aperture rim of the shade is in excellent condition with no chips or flecks. The shade is beautifully iridized and when seen in person with reflected light displays strong luminous tones of aqua, blue and magenta which are more saturated than in catalogue illustration. The shade with beautifully articulated and defined feather decoration, and with four intricately hand-carved bugs of varying sizes and varieties. The counter-balance base displays an exceptionally rich russet brown and green patina with very light rubbing consistent with age and gentle use. The base retains its original socket, paddle switch and bronze screw terminals which secure the shade. A very attractive example of this highly desirable model.
