Condition

Overall in very good condition. The twelve “Lily” shades are a beautiful well-matched assembled set displaying exceptionally strong color and iridescence. One shade with a very small ¼ inch hairline to the top aperture rim which appears stable, and one shade with a small and very shallow surface fleck (¼ inch) to the top aperture rim. A few of the shades with minor roughness to the interior edges of the top aperture, and some occasional minute edge flecks along the top aperture rim, all of which is exceedingly minor and only visible under very close inspection when the shades are not installed. The patinated bronze surfaces display an exceptionally rich and satisfying russet brown and dark green patina. The bronze surfaces with some occasional surface scratches, abrasions, and rubbing to the patina consistent with age and gentle use. The bottom of the base with a few tiny paint specks and minor areas of surface residue, and with surface soiling to the recessed contours of the base design. A few of the bronze stems at the upper region of the base with some light surface scratches. The interior recessed contours at the bottom of the base with light surface oxidation. All of the bronze floral bobeches and interior sockets appear to be original and undisturbed. The lamp appears to retain its original bronze “lily pad” switch on the base which successfully functions as a two-way switch. A beautiful example of this rare floor lamp design, displaying an exceptional set of Lily shades with strong luminous color. When viewed with reflected light the shades display hues in a multitude of brilliant jewel-like colors.
