Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is richer in the original work with warmer pink flesh tones. Condition: This work is in very good condition overall. The wig and rug have been replaced by Allen Jones prior to the sale. There is a very faint water mark to the yellow hotpants beneath the rear right-hand bolt hole. Upon close inspection, there are a few spots of retouching to the upper right section of the figure's back and to the area immediately surrounding the bolt to the figure's left shoulder. These retouchings were carried out by the artist and his studio prior to the sale. There is a small chip to the table top at one of the corners and a fine hairline surface crack running around the figure's right bicep.
