from the model by Johann Joachim Kändler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein for the 'Swan Service,' now mounted as lamps.
Condition
Three candle branches of each candelabra are lacking and the apertures in which they would have been fitted to the stems are now mounted with white porcelain flowerheads, which have some restoration.
The first: The two of the large gilt shells of the base of the first candelabra are made-up restorations. There are some haircracks to the base. The edge of the section of the shell upon which the figures rest is restored beneath one triton. There are some further haircracks, probably firing-related, running up from the stem into the shell upon which the figures rest. There are some haircracks on and across the body of one triton in the front and some residue of overspray to the part of the shell beneath him.
The end of the mermaid's tail is restored. The tip of the tail of the triton at the back is chipped. The dolphin's tooth is restored. The scrollwork stem is restored above the male figure's left arm. Both feet of the male figure are restored. There are some regilt chips to the molded scrolls at the top of the stem. There is restoration to the head of the male figure across the stem above his left hand.
The second: All three shells of the base are restored. A large portion of the base on one side is broken off and restored back. Two of the shields have been overpainted to cover the break. There are some haircracks to the upper-shell portion of the base, where the figures rest. Both of the male figure's feet and legs are restored. End of the triton's tails are restored. The left arm of the triton in the back has been broken and restored back.

Catalogue Note
A similar candelabrum from the 'Swan Service' made for Count von Brühl is illustrated in Schwanen service, Meissener Porzellan Für Heinrich Graf Von Brühl, p. 166, cat. no. 40, where the model is discussed and it is noted that examples exist without the von Brühl arms in the Residenz, Ansbach and the collection of the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh.
