Description
- Walnut
- approx. 89cm. high, 146cm. wide, 74cm. deep; 2ft. 11in., 4ft. 9½in., 2ft. 5in.
with a serpentine simulated marble top above a pierced frieze on scrolled supports; the whole carved with scrolls, rocaille, flowers, foliage and stylised scallopshells, with a paper label inscribed in brown ink, SC N.22 ... ebring
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. There is shrinkage where the inset painted top meets the base and some retouching to the painting on the top. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. There is a later wooden block at the back beneath the top to enable the table to be attached to the wall. Construction cracks at joints commensurate with age and use. Old minor restorations to carved sections.
