Description

  • each: 94cm. high, 114cm. wide, 52cm. deep; 3ft. 1in., 3ft. 8¾in., 1ft. 8½in.
each with a pierced scrolled back carved with rocaille, above downscrolled arms and rectangular padded seat, on five cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet joined by waved stretchers, with the ink inscribed paper label with the number 699

Collection Ing. Giuseppe Gatti-Casazza (n. 93/4 & n. 94/4), Venice; probably originally from a set of four.

Condition

In overall good original condition. Very attractive detail to carving. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age. Evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. There are lighter, scattered areas where the polish has been rubbed and chipped. Construction cracks at joints which can easily be left, commensurate with age and usage.
