the oval form with various realistically moulded overlapping shells and corals, the interior of the cover painted, probably by Giovanni Caselli, with three Middle Eastern figures on a foreshore with mountains, buildings and a ship behind, with contemporary reeded silver-gilt mounts, Rome town mark
