  • 12.3cm, 4 7/8 in wide
of cartouche form, painted with Arcadian scenes of groups playing cards and musical instruments and drinking tea in landscape, watched in two cases by Harlequin in motley, the cover also with Pierrot, the gilt-metal mounts engraved with scrolls and flowerheads

Condition

slight rubbing to edge of inner cover (right hand top corner), and also to painting on base, otherwise very fine painting and good condition. Original hinge.
