Catalogue Note

Rackham's pencil annotations request "500 prints on gummed paper. Prints, block and original to be returned to A. Rackham 16 Chalcot Gardens NW3". Instructions note that the design should be "print[ed] on paper allowing not less and ¼ in. margin" and "gummed for sticking in books". Riall records this bookplate on page 240 of his bibliography.

Rackham's daughter (1908-1993) has inscribed the mount "To Michael - Glad you've got this - love Barbara Edwards Rackham".
