Condition
Overall in very good condition. The bronze surfaces throughout retain a rich dark brown and russet brown patina, showing gentle rubbing and light surface soiling in some of the recessed contours consistent with age and gentle use. There appears to be a two inch long stable hairline extending from the edge of the mounted shell which is very minor and only discernable under close inspection. Other areas of the shell with minor ridges, striations, and variation to the coloration inherent in the natural condition of the shell. The shell pivots smoothly with ease. The shell is beautifully iridized and displays brilliantly saturated luminous colors throughout. A very fine example of this sculptural model.
