Overall in very good condition. The linenfold glass panels are in very good condition. The large central panels with one visible crack (approximately 2 ½ inches in length) and a two very small edge cracks (1/4 inch in length). The smaller border tiles on the lower register with two minor cracks to one glass tiles (only visible from the shade interior under close inspection). The exterior surfaces on the shade and finial with some rubbing and occasional discolorations as seen in the catalogue illustration, which appears to be the result of gentle use. The top surface of the base with more concentrated areas of rubbing and discolorations, also visible in the catalogue illustration. The sockets and paddle switches appear to be original and undisturbed. The base and top of the shade inset with abalone inlays, which appear stable and with a few minute edge losses. The inlays display strong luminous color and iridescence throughout. This lamp presents beautifully in person, displaying a desirable shade and base pairing. When illuminated the shade imparts a warm golden amber hue.
