Condition
Overall in very good condition. This is an assembled set and the enamel coloration and patinas display slight variations. The bronze surfaces with some light rubbing, surface soiling and a few occasional minor areas of discoloration consistent with age and use. The enamel tones are more saturated when viewed in person than they appear in the catalogue illustration. The enameled panels with some minor rubbing, and scattered surface dirt. The clock works have not been examined by Sotheby’s and therefore we go not guarantee their function. The reverse of the clock with some isolated areas of discoloration. The pen tray with more concentrated rubbing to the top surface. The inkwell with a period clear glass insert and some minor discoloration to the metal elements adjacent to the inkwell consistent with gentle use. The rocker blotter with wooden rocker with very minor discoloration. A large set in a rare color variant.
