Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 18-20 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout, and with light surface soiling throughout along the recessed contours of the shade leading. The large “Tree” base displays a deep and vibrant green patina. The patinated bronze surfaces throughout with some light surface scratches, surface abrasions (primarily around the perimeter contours of the cushion), rubbing, and surface soiling and minor discoloration to the recessed contours of the base design consistent with age and use. The base retains its original decorative switch. There is gentle rubbing to the patina on the perimeter contours of the switch, as well as to the adjacent areas on the base standard, from continued use and surface contact over the years. All of the six sockets appear to be original and undisturbed. Four of the paddle switches appear to be original, one paddle switch is an old period replacement, and one paddle switch is missing (though this socket is fully functional). The socket cluster with a few minor traces of beige paint. The finial is period, with a corresponding green patina to the base, and shows some light surface scratches and gentle surface wear throughout. The underbase with faint traces of adhesive from prior felt glides. A beautiful example of this rare model displaying a highly artistic and thoughtful glass selection. The autumnal and naturalistic color palette is particularly fitting for this model, with beautifully mottled glass throughout.
