Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 20 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of the glass cabochons along the bottom of the shade appear to be intact and undisturbed, with only two showing minor and stable hairline cracks. The “Twisted Vine” base displays a particularly rich green patina, with subtle russet brown highlights. The patinated bronze surfaces with minimal surface wear, gentle rubbing, and some scattered small traces of a dark surface residue on the top of the cushion consistent with age and use. The base with some light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. All of the sockets appear to be original and undisturbed. The sockets are fitted with patinated metal pull chains which are likely old period replacements. With a period finial. A particularly strong example displaying the most desirable shade and base pairing for the “Lily Pads” model. The shade has a beautiful glass selection, most notably distinguished by the use of turquoise glass throughout the background passages which imparts the lamp with a strong aquatic sensibility.
