Condition

The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial is very clean with no visible imperfections. The case shows surface scuffs from light to light/moderate wear, and there is some warmth to the color of the screws on the lugs, however the tone in the catalogue may be slightly exaggerated. The strap of this watch contains endangered species; please see Important Notices for further information.

Patek Philippe introduced the Ref. 5015 in 1994 and it remained in production until approximately 1999. It is believed approximately 500 pieces were produced in platinum of which only 28 are known. The total reference production  is thought to be approximately 3000 examples.

In the product literature from 1995, the Ref. 5015 is described as one of Patek Philippe's "latest developments in complicated movements. It includes a power reserve indicator-a complication seldom seen..."
