Although this composition has not been viewed out of its frame, it appears to be in generally excellent condition. The composition has recently undergone conservation, primarily to address photographs that had come unsecured from the mount. The frame was designed by Kermit Oswald, Tseng Kwong Chi's preferred framer, during his lifetime.
