- 'LEAFED HAND'
- 6 Chromogenic prints; one text panel
a sequence of 6 chromogenic prints, each flush-mounted, sequentially numbered in blue crayon on the reverse, framed, Buhl Collection labels on the reverse, 1970; accompanied by a text panel, mounted, signed and dated in ink on the mount (7)
Provenance
Oppenheim Foundation, New York, 1997
Literature
Alanna Heiss, Dennis Oppenheim: Selected Works 1967-1990 (New York: The Institute for Contemporary Art, P. S. 1 Museum, 1992), p. 56
Condition
Although these prints have not been examined out of their frames, they appear to be in generally excellent condition. The colors remain rich and saturated, with no apparent fading.
The text panel is in generally very good condition. The text is sealed between foamcore and Plexiglas. There are 6 small rust-colored areas on the mount, likely where adhesive from previously affixed pieces of tape has yellowed.
