Condition

This unique sequence of 2 gelatin silver prints and one text panel, each mounted to foamcore, are in generally very good condition. The edges are rubbed, with tiny resultant losses and abrasions. This sequence is unframed and unglazed, and it is notable for its generally fine condition. Upon very close examination, a few minor scuffs and fingerprints are visible. The corners are bumped and creased. Running the length of the left edge of the first print, there is a one-½-inch band that is slightly lighter in tonality. Along the bottom edge of the print in the lighter areas, there is a ¼-inch band that is warm-toned. On the reverse of the mount, there is a thin faint tide line along the left edge. The reverse of the print is annotated illegibly in pencil. Along the bottom edge of the second print in the lighter areas, there is a very thin band that is slightly warm-toned. On the reverse of the mount, there is an eraserhead-sized impression, which does not affect the print. The reverse of the print is annotated illegibly in pencil. The text panel reads: 'Hand-And-Mouth / Take / Choke / Repeat / Exhaust.' Several small air bubbles are visible overall, where the print did not adhere directly to the mount. Along the right edge, there is a 3-½-inch band that is slightly lighter in tonality. On the reverse of the mount, there is a 9-by-one-inch tide line along the lower right edge; this does not affect the recto.
