Condition
Hande am Klavier - This early large-format, warm-toned ferrotyped print is tipped to a beige heavy card mount that extends 1/8-inch around the periphery of the image. There is a small typed label reading 'Atelier Stone, Berlin' and 'Hande am Klavier' in the lower right corner. The edges of the print are rubbed, and the corners are bumped and creased. There is a one-inch tear in the lower right corner near the 'S. Stone' red-paint signature. There are small losses where there is sharp creasing, mostly at the edges. When examined the raking light, the following are visible: faint scratches; small soft and sharp handling creases; and small pitting of the surface (in this case, at the upper and lower edges and corners) that is typical of the ferrotyping process. The reverse of the mount is lightly soiled, and '88' has been written in red pencil.Hands of Paul Arma - This early warm-toned print, on matte-surface paper and mounted to a piece of folding paper, is in generally excellent condition. The edges are rubbed.
