Catalogue Note

Kuchumov is best known for his paintings of the interiors of grand houses and palaces, which are not dissimilar to those of Stanislav Zhukovsky and also reflect the influence of the Mir iskusstva aesthetic. He exhibited five paintings at the Peredvizhniki exhibtion of 1918, two of which are now in the collection of The State Russian Museum.
