  • diameter: 25.6cm, 10 1/8 in.
circular, with gilt scalloped rim, the cavetto painted with the badge of the Order of St Andrew on white ground, the cobalt blue border decorated with the badges of the Orders of St George, St Alexander Nevsky, St Vladimir, the White Eagle, St Stanislaus and St Anne within shaped gilt cartouches, with mark for Coalport with the Royal Warrant and gilt number 2925

Catalogue Note

This magnificent dessert service was presented by Queen Victoria to Emperor Nicholas I in Coalport during his state visit to Great Britain as a souvenir of their meeting.  The service was delivered to Russia in 1845.
