Condition
The canvas has been laid down on board. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is some minor craquelure in the sky area and in the rocks at left. Under UV no pigment appears to fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted wood frame with cloth slip. Unexamined out of frame.
