Condition

The surface is covered with a layer of varnish. There is craquelure, though the surface appears stable. There are some very minor stains in the sky. Under UV no pigment appears to fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted wooden frame with plaster moulding. Unexamined out of frame.
