  • Porcelain
comprising a teapot and cover, a sugar bowl and cover, a waste bowl, two saucer dishes and five saucers, SPODE and 2049 pattern number in iron-red. Together with six similarly decorated English porcelain teacups, probably Coalport, a Mintons teacup and saucer, two Spode '2299' pattern teacups and saucers and three English porcelain teacups and four saucers decorated with floral borders. 31 pieces.

Condition

All in generally good condition, except: Teapot and cover: There is an approximate 5 1/2-inch haircrack running across one side of the base and curving upwards and then parallel to the foot. There is an approximate 1-inch wide starcrack to the right side of the handle just below the floral panel. There is also a small flat chip to the tip of the spout and an approximate 1-inch haircrack running down the edge of the spout. Sugar bowl: There is a small 1/2-inch wide starcrack to the base. Wastebowl: There is a triangular 1/4-inch chip to the rim, secured by a clear tape, issuing an approximate 2-inch long haircrack running down the side from the rim. Saucer dishes: With some minor wear to the gilding in the cavetto area. Saucers: Some very minor stacking wear to the gilding . One with an x-shaped haircrack running across the base in all directions. Similarly-decorated cups: One with a 1/4 by 1/4 in flat chip to the rim edge, which has been glued back and two further haircracks running all the way down the side from the rim. One with a 1/2 by 1/4 inch flat chip to the interior of the rim. The cobalt-blue ground cup has an approximate 2-1/2-inch haircrack running down the rim through the reserved floral panel. One saucer decorated with floral borders: 1-1/2 by 1/2 inch triangular chip (further broken into two pieces) issuing an extended haircrack running down the rim and across the base.
