Catalogue Note

Zigrosser describes a second, larger edition after steel-facing that was published for the original New Republic portfolio in Dec. 1924.  However, by Jan. 22, 1925 Brooklyn Bridge had been replaced with Downtown, the El (Z. 112).  The total number of portfolios including Brooklyn Bridge is unknown, though Zigrosser cites only one.
