Condition

The information about the signature, date, and editioning of this print comes from the Jackson fine Art gallery label on the reverse. This print appears to be in generally excellent condition. The work is hand-painted and has been affixed to a black board at intervals so that there is some slight waviness. Gonzalez Palma utilizes sepia toner after fixing and washing his prints. He then applies pigment--a combination of tar (asphalt) and solvent. In final stage of preparation, the photographer uses a Q-tip to remove paint selectively--in this case, from the girl's eyes.
